Are you a Son of a Son of a Sailor? I like their 10 yr old but haven't had any of the others. I hear Storm is pretty good, like a ramped up 10.

My grandpa was a helmsman on a Red Cross ship during WWII and prior to that, he did the same for a freighter line on the Great Lakes. :D

I haven't tried Storm to compare to dark storm but the reviews for it sound similar.

Not last night, but the other night, an impromptu sort of highball, Crown 7 and Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Then, another night, but I don't recall which, it was the last of the Bushmill's, neat.

Sounds good...
I'm not usually much on sours but this is pretty good & quenches your thirst (I would think differently in winter). It does taste like Key Lime pie so it must have some lime zest in it, & including a sweat aftertaste similar to a graham cracker. I'm drinking it from cans & colder than a typical draft beer.

The ExxonMobil down the corner had six tall Coors (not light) for $3.99....so I've been working my way through those last night and tonight.

As a very young man I thought Coors was the best beer ever! Of course I was in my mid-teens and you couldn't buy it here in Missouri at the time.
Seems like it became fairly available down here back in the late 80s.

Prior to that you had to know somebody...

In Decenber of 1976 a buddy of mine and I took a road trip out west in his 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix to visit his relatives. First stop was Roy, NM then onto Albuquerque with the final destination being Canyon City, CO.

On the trip home the trunk and back seat of the car was so full of Coors and Olympia the rear bumper of the car nearly dragged the ground.

His car looked just like this one.

With a set of Cragars and raised white letters on it like that too, I hope.

The second worst hangover I ever had was from drinking Olympia.

A couple of glasses of blackberry lemonade with stoli in it before dinner, and a couple of red stripes to wash down the meal.
