A peach brandy, toast to Hurricane Jack since he appears to be out for a while. The rest of us may have to pick up the slack of smoking and drinking instead of living vicariously through his posts for hopefully just a few days. Reading his posts lately I was thinking he has more fun than the rest of us but maybe we will catch up a little bit.

Thanks Scooterz! I really appreciate the thoughts. Feeling just okay today so far after OP surgery yesterday. I'm on some strong antibiotics for 2 wks until stitches come out & am not suppose to drink alcohol. The antibiotics change the taste of most things anyway, especially anything with caffeine in it. So I'll see how it goes. In the meantime I'll look forward to the tastings of yours & others here!

Heal quickly Jack! We do miss your posts in this thread.
Thanks Bob. I think it's the thinning effect alcohol has on the blood is the reason I'm not supposed to imbibe while on the antibiotics. I drank some coffee this morning & it tasted absolutely terrible but I know it wasn't the coffee but rather the antibiotics.

Brandy. Not in a snifter.

Out of the bottle?

I happened to be in the store a couple of wks ago when they set out a pallet of Mother's MILF. That pallet sold out in less than a day. I drank a couple bottles last night but still somewhat weak from surgery it didn't take long (@ 11% ABV) to wear me down completely. One of the best Stouts on the market this time of yr!

Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Was wondering how the "Double Oaked" version might compare (as this bottle is getting pretty low) when I ran across this review.

"Copper color. Warming aromas of caramelized nuts, leather, saddle soap, dried tropical fruit, latex and white pepper with supple, dry-yet-fruity medium-full body and a chewy, cedar bark, mocha fudge, fruity toffee, pepper, and mineral finish. A powerful wood driven bourbon." -- Beverage Testing Institute

Saddle soap? Latex? Sometimes I think they just make this sh*t up...
