What Did You Drink Last Night?

Finished off the last of a bottle of Old Forester 1897 Bottled in Bond. It was a long day of moving heavy things into the new shop/barn. One thing I dug out of storage was this old bourbon barrel. I’ve had it since 1979, but haven’t used it in 20 years. Found a place for it finally. It was from the Fleischmann Distillery in (Owensboro?) Kentucky.

I always found it easier to carry the bottle around.

Bud Light. It was ice cold AND free.... it was a logical decision
Drinking cheap beer--even ice cold and free--is never a good idea. Back in 2010, on a hot May afternoon, I drank a free ice-cold Bud Light. Just one. It was cold, and wet, and that made it lovely after sawing firewood all day. The next day I started the last of my classes for my Master's degree, and I made it a rule to not drink during the semester. . . .

Finished the class and had to work the next weekend, so no chance to celebrate. I got hurt at work, and spent a couple-three years recovering. (Feh, I'm still recovering.) Post-injury, my body had a rather unpleasant reaction to alcohol, so I was unable to drink (or at least to enjoy a drink, or remember. . . pretty much anything). I spent several years living in fear that my last drink was going to be a tasteless watery Bud Light.

If you're going to sin and indulge in the fruits of the vine, hold out for the good stuff. You never know when it might be your last drink.

I drank cold beer from a beer stall the last time in 2013. I will NEVER do it again! This stuff is always TOO COLD in Germany!!

I got real stomach-ache and the day was screwed! Don't know, how cold the beer was, but it was very cold!

It's better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done

If it's frozen solid, like a popsicle, then it's too cold. Otherwise, it's not too cold.
