James has decided to slum it apparently with Beechwood. Blech!

Half a Founders beer, and a 16oz Bubble Gum snowcone.
The snowcone flavor varies with my mood, although I tend to fix Cherry or even Lemon quite often with a sour spray on top.

Not beechwood---Blue Agave cask.

Last night I tried drinking the Vespa cocktail as described in Flemmings Casino Royale, except that I had to change the brand of gin and vodka in order to get the high 1950's levels of alcohol.
It tasted good and was easy to drink- right until it made me vomit violently. My wife is still laughing. It's 13:33 here and I feel like I might die.
I guess 1950's readers would have read the recipe and understood that this was a 'real drink' for a 'real man'.

This is true!
I took the Lillet, gin and vodka over to my father-in-law today, and told him to knock himself out.

I think, TBH, I'll just keep it simple for a while; beer, whiskey, brandy.
