A nice Bloody Mary or two.
Couple of nights ago I shared a 22 of Alaskan Smoked Porter, 2012.
Not as smokey as described - possibly a year in the bottle mellowed it.
Just a hint of sweetness to go along with the hint of smoke. The guy I shared it with said it reminded him a bit of ham (due to the faint smoke and faint sweetness).
It struck me as an excellent example of a Winterbeer, and I will be heading back to Whole Foods to see if they still have some.
I usualy avoid smoked beer. I'd give this a try based on your opinion. I had a nice one once from Alesmith called Decadence- maple smoked porter. I like that one!
