I've been drinking more Ale's lately, and found one that I really like; Bells Two-Hearted Ale. It's really good...
Martini
Just one?!
Yup, it was late. Had one when I got home and went to bed.
That reminds me, I'm almost out of gin...
Hey Mike. I see you live in the same city as my son. Have seldom had the opportunity to drink single malts. Last 1 I recall drinking was Glenlivet. While I liked it, discovered I didn't really like it any better than the blended Scotch I drink. EarlHi, I'll try the Highland Cream sometime. If I'm drinking cheap, I drink Bourbon. The cheapest bourbon is almost as good as some of the best. IN M OPINION, the difference between good Scotch and bad Scotch is light years.

Never tried Ballantines. But, this review doesn't make it look too bad. http://reviews.danmurphys.com.au/05...ballantines-scotch-whisky-reviews/reviews.htm EarlWell there is also Matt Helm's indispensable Balantine's.
Oh, a night cap.

Precisely. Thinking whether I want Martini's tonight, or Manhattans.
Ah, I miss Manhattans.... I haven't had one in a few months. I've been stuck on beer lately; this week it's Sam Adams Boston Ale. I may start brewing my own Pale Ales...Manhattans for a change.
Hi James, I had a glass of Balantines in about 1982, in Barrington IL. The Scotch was 25 years old, and therefore about 3 years older than I was. It was great and went down like water. I'm pretty sure it was EXPENSIVE though.

Well, got lazy after making supper and taking down all the Christmas decorations. Ended up with a beverage straight from the Land of Sky Blue Waters.

I could, but I've been lazy. I typically either make a scotch or Jameson neat or grab a beer anymore.... need more hours in the day to mix my drinks.Go ahead and make a Manhattan or his brother the Old Fashioned.
