I was kinda wondering that myself. The Dalmore Gran Reserva from jamespowers post is an excellent Scotch Whiskey with a significant price tag - most definitely not a bathtub gin. [huh]

Richmond 37.5% (I'll try and get a picture) I had some Gilbey's over here and i thought it was pretty good, under-rated to be fair. Maybe it's a different production.

I had but a small sip of some sloe whisky, with ginger beer but Mrs. B guarded it closely:

I heard a funny true story about Vespers recently:

20 roudy rugby players go into a bar and tell the bar tender they want a "proper cocktail", the barman (with a sense of humour) mixes 20 Cosmopolitans.
Rugby Player: "What's this?"
Bartender: "I didn't think you were ready for a proper cocktail yet"
The rugby players drink the Cosmopolitans quite quickly and then ask again for a "proper cocktail"
The Bartender mixes 21 Vespers and serves 20 of them.
Rugby Players: *associated cries, moans and noises because the drink is too harsh for them*
Bartender: *knocks back the 21st Vesper with out blinking* "That'll be £298 please"

If I hadn't given my bottle of Gilbey's away I would send it over to you. I wouldn't even use it to clean my pipes.
