What did 1920s sheepskin jackets look like?

I know we see examples of pre war sheepskin jackets like Irvin and early B3s, but what pattern styles existed in the 1910s and 1920s? Is there the quintessential jacket from which all sheepskin flight jackets stem?

Prior to the introduction of issue sheepskin/shearling jackets by the US and UK for WWII flying jackets used by military flyers were were not standardized and were often privately acquired (with all the wild variation which that implies). In fact, most flying clothing used prior to WWII took the form of overalls, usually with cloth or leather shells and a variety of types of insulation. In other words, you're asking about something that never existed.

Very interesting. I'd like to learn more about the private contract flight gear. Is there a good book I can look up to find more photos and information?
