What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Last night was a Ramon Allones Small Club. :D

I am a HUGE fan of Ramon Allones, though they are hard to find in my corner of the world.

I smoke many different brands, but I've been on this kick lately of getting my cigars from small hand rolling shops. I grew up in Tampa and remember how important cigars were to the local identity. My grandmother even worked as a roller back in the 30's and 40's. Well, cigars are still important. It's like cigar heaven there. Numerous small manufacturers, and many places that are cigar friendly, despite a state-wide smoking ban. I pick up a few bundles every time I'm there, and order them online when I need to. In fact, I'm smoking one now, as I type.

Allones is kind of a brand with a small cult following. Few people know the name or even how good it is so it stays small and hard to get. At this point, I don't have a hard time getting them so I hope they stay small and my supplier still has plenty to sell me. :p

Ok, give us a review. I never tried that one. :D

I have never reviewed a cigar before, so here is my shot at. Also, my taste of flavors may not be an accurate as one who smokes and review cigars for a living.

Ring Gauge: 56
Wrapper: Pennsylvania Broadleaf
Filler: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Strength: Full
Blender: A.J Fernandez

This cigar is a firmly packed with heft. Be prepared for a longs smoke. Pre-light flavor includes some hint of cherry, earthy and spice. Once lit, a lot of spicey, earthy flavor with tons of smoke. About third to halfway in, the spice dies down to a nice nutty with some bitter coffee and chocolate hints. Burn time is around 1.5 hours.

These are one of go to sticks because I usually get as gifts from my son-in-law and they are very inexpensivel. They can be found from $3-5 a piece.
