I’ll take it if you don’t want it. :p

Cohiba are indeed some of the most expensive cigars out there---aside for some of the pre-embargo Cubans. Interesting thing about the name is that Cohiba is derivative of what the Taino Indians called tobacco---not cigars.:p

Now you see why I ask so many questions! I will take your word for what this "Cohiba" means. If you had no clue the word was being used connected to a cigar, however, Cohiba could be mistaken for some descriptive manner of a bad social disease....(the old guy just keeled over, they said it was due to Cohiba....)!

I had purchased two of those cigars, one was smoked I think on New Years Eve a few years ago. The other is in the work desk inside a tube that my Husband had left over from some other cigar. Sealed up tight. But the written paper and receipt was kept to label the contents. I think Daniel has a few other rare type of items also roostered away in his work desk. I think he is the only person I have ever known that has real 14k gold chains that are for holding some sort of a sword to person wearing the sword. These are heavy solid links. Yet he has NO idea at all what sword the chains would even go to! Because of the length of these chains, a few times just to make people stop and look, he used the chains as replacements on some Redwing boots for laces.

Oh Mr. Powers....that pipe is also called a Turk! The one I am buying for Daniel. The white Indian pipe. Maybe looks exactly alike?

How is the pipe kept looking white?

Hmmmmm... I meant that my pipe was a figural of a Turk and it is called The Turk. I thought the Indian would be the one with the headdress etc. Wrong Indian I guess. :p

It isn't kept looking white. We call that tan and brownish tone "patina." :p Pipe smokers like the patina on their pipes as it shows they are well loved. :D

Thank you so much. I am sure Daniel will love it and he said Hello to you also. He also says hello to Mr. Powers!

I will have to post a picture of the pipe. It does have a "indian chief" head, but for some reason the name, "turk" seems to have been connected to the pipe?

So if the white does not stay white, it is ok? Sort of like giving the pipe a "sun tan" when it gets a bit darker! Is the white part of the pipe sturdy or frail?

I could have some "Patina" on me, but instead, I get diamonds! LOL!

Sun tan is ok. The white part is sturdy but I wouldn't drop it on cement. :p
Diamonds sound good to me too and I am a guy. :p

2 days ago Robaina Maestro(2007) and last night Ramon Allones Grandes (2008),both regional Habanos cigars sold in Spain. Surprisingly a smaller robusto size Robaino was more impressive than 7.1" 49 gauge Ramon Allones. Ramon Allones lacked sweetness.

I have tried the Grandes but not the Robania. I agree with you that the Grandes is not impressive at all. I find the La Escepcion to be the most interesting regional edicion I have smoked so far.

It is O.k. to actually LOVE diamonds. If I could have a perfect day, it could very well accommodate something of interest due to some total stranger leaving one large bag, (real large) hundreds of three carat or more per diamond, bag right on my front porch! Fill that bag up! I would not even mind if they did not ring the door bell to let me know the bag is there. I will take it without debate! Lol!

My cousin is travelling to Italy this summer, I know what to ask him to bring back. I tried a number of regional cigars but not made for Italy. French Bolivars, Russian Bolivars, German Bolivars were outstanding. Overall regional cigars made for Germany were really good. Small robustos made for Israel were very good as well. Regional cigars for Portugal, Cyprus, Baltic, UAE were not memorable. Ramon Allones made for Lebanon, it was a big cigar, was very good. My 2c for today. I do have last of Spanish regionals, Punch, stashed away, it will get my attention today.

If paying a premium, I prefer the LEs with the thicker wrappers. Most of the regional I smoke are gifts from fds and shops or at launch parties.
