What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Ok I could not resist a visit to the only tobacconist in the tri-state area that I know of. THe smell of that place was awesome! I got two small bulk samples of what he said were his highest sellers. Super cheap BTW only 6 bucks total. I look forward to my last smoke of the week this weekend. The pipe I found at an antique shop for 5 bucks.

Nice. You'll find once you get past the investment of the pipe, the tobacco is MUCH cheaper than cigars.

I can already tell that Hudson. I really enjoy the fact that I can choose, to precise detail, what I smoke. I know this is still "cheap" tobacco but the aroma was amazing. I hope it smokes as good as it smells.

I have always loved the smell of pipe tobacco and I have found, though I have only smoked two bowls, that the ritual of packing is relaxing.

I know what you mean. Also taking the time to tamp the tobacco or light the pipe in conversation can buy you time to think before speaking.

Congrats on your first packings being so successful. Many years ago, I gave pipe smoking a whirl just cause I thought it was cool, loved the smell and so forth. Unfortunately, couldnt' keep the bloody thing lit and had to always step outside the house to give it a smoke in about a week I found it more hassle than worth and gave it up.

Well, I don't mean to steer the conversation away from pipes but, I had an incredible Oliva Connecticut Reserve cigar earlier this evening. I've never been one to favor the mild stogies, but my goodness...what a great cigar!

You need a Joya de Nicaragua Antano torpedo then. That thing is like all ligero. :p

Excellent! I'll have have to look into it...thanks for the recommendation, friend. I'm kind of liking these mild/mediums at the moment though. Do you have any mild or mild-medium cigars that you'd recommend?

The number one cigar of the year with the #2 there. They have always been good to me. :D
The double edmundo is mild. The #2 short is more like a slightly shorter belicoso than a short pirimides. #2 short is a sample from the owner of the shop. News is we get all-you-can-smoke cigar for free this or next Friday in any of his shops.:eusa_clap
