Here are some more of Ira's paintings - these are little 8x10 oil sketches that were studies for larger paintings.

And this is Ira, sometime in the 1920s:

He seems to be influenced by the Hudson River School whose paintings are always on the Antiques Road Show (USA).

I have several photos I've taken, and the rest is an assortment of things, such as photos of writers or musicians. I'm mainly surrounded by books and musical instruments, however.

My turn! My bedroom is TINY and I'm a pack rat...this was the eventual solution-to put everything up on my walls.

Matted repro pulp-art, 80's-does-60's chair, steamer trunk (early 1900s).

Large tin Camel advertisements from the Winston-Salem factory.

Japanese Obis that my parents brought back from Okinawa.

Pretend "antique" mirror
100_2746.jpg

Ex-boyfriend art in celebration of my major. Dumped the boy, kept the major.
100_2744.jpg

Michael Sowa posters, that need to be framed instead of just thrown at the wall (the ones in Amelie)

Hope I didn't thread-hog!

Spiffy, the shot of you with the mirror is very "Arbus" superb composition! , and I must say I'm rather taken with that brass uplighter in your room, when you get a bit older you will appreciate the flattering light they give!...... now my turn again !!!.........Yet another Lempicka, this one is in the corner of my study, a portrait of that saucy little minx, of the 1920's and 30's "Suzy Solidor" she was to the 30's what "Madge" (Maddona) was to the 80's/90's . I did have this in a guest room, till I had a complaint, that a family member found it disturbing!, what can be disturbing about a sporty gel with a sensibly bobbed head of hair, I ask you?, happily now one gets to gaze and gaze and gaze at it while shredding documents

Two artist-signed sillhouettes from the 1920s in the original frames. I've never been able to decipher the signature. The black paper cutouts have faded to chocolate brown. I like these a lot...
