Lol I was actually listening to that and some other big band/swing music yesterday! That’s maybe my favorite. Love those drums. J
Man, now that’s class. Much better than the garbage we see today.

A little off-topic, but speaking of dancers. Here’s proof Michael Jackson was nothing more than a little boy-loving copycat. ;)

Getting set to transfer a set of reel-to-reel tapes from 1953, containing the live radio broadcast of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Depending on which side you're on, you'll either find it amusing or outrageous that the broadcast was recorded on "Irish" brand tape.

How sad am I to know that Fred & Ginger didn't dance that routine to SIng, Sing, Sing. They danced it to: "Start All Over Again."

Benny Goodman's arrangements of Sing, Sing, Sing are probably the most famous, although it was written and performed by Louis Prima, but why are there so many differing lengths of that number? One version goes on for over nine minutes! Even Fred & Ginger, in their prime, would have a problem dancing that long at the energy levels needed for keeping up with Sing, Sing, Sing. And Buddy Greco's shirt would definitely be sporting the wet-look at the end of nine minutes of drumming.

I thought that seemed weird. I think I've seen that routine in a film recently and it was a different tune. But I tellya, *someone* did one heckuva job editing that video to the Sing Sing Sing tune. :
