This week has mostly been a mix of Wanda Jackson, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis. Might stick some Elvis on tonight when I get in, assuming there's nothing decent on the television.

Flanagan & Allen -- What More Can I Say? (1942)

Lyrics

What more can I say?
I love you, I do
If you went away
I'd be lonesome and blue
You're one in a million
That's not even two
What more can I say?

What I wouldn't do
For you, honey child
If you only knew
You're driving me wild
I love you, I love you
That's putting it mild
What more can I say?

I walk in my sleep
I talk in my sleep
All about you
Honest, I do
I shout and I rave
My heart wont behave
In fact I'm going
Crazy over you

You're lovely to kiss
You're lovely to hold
You're more than a dream
More precious than gold
I want you, I need you
Now my story's told
What more can I say?

Must be feeling nostalgic for my childhood, been playing quite a few big hits from when I was a kid.

Brings back memories of my Dad singing Elvis tunes while making me whatever I wanted for breakfast however I wanted it as I waited at the table in joyous anticipation.

Still feeling nostalgic. We used to tease my dad that this song was about him. Ironically, he did indeed sell the farm a couple years after this song was on the charts.

Music wise, I have been loving Adelle. I'll also pop in Ella Fitzgerald every now and again. I also love old timey radio shows with a bit of an edge and especially love Dreadtime stories. It is a classic audio program narrated by Malcolm McDowell with great acting and spooky sound effects. Here are some links and clips and such :)

Here is a link to Dreadtime Stories: http://bit.ly/L6hjeD

And here is a lovely and somber rendition of Summer Time:
