After seeing TheseFoolishThings' post, here is the original as sung by Fred Astaire and danced by Fred & Ginger, watched this (from Follow The Fleet) earlier in the week. Fabulous!

What's really funny is in the film Pennies From Heaven, which is set in 1934, there's a scene where Arthur and Eileen (Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters) are in a theatre watching Follow the Fleet. Problem is Follow the Fleet came out in 1936.
