I found reviews of The Village off a link from a Downton Abbey site and the reviews are stellar. Some giving it a 20 out of 10. Did you love it that much? It is not available on cable where I live so would need to purchase it for about $50, complete. Just after some input of your opinion. Is it as good, in writing and performance as Downton?

Haven't seen Downton abbey so can't comment on that, however 'The Village' was OK but I wouldn't spend 50 bucks to watch it .Despite the cast, it looked more like a TV film than a real movie.......the score was by far the best thing about it. It's on youtube at the moment if you want to have a look though it isn't a good copy.
