CBS's You Are There, this time with Columbus making landfall in the New World. Cool way they interviewed Chris' brother, the wife of a sailor on one of the ships, and so on, then broke in with a shortwave broadcast from the deck of the Santa Maria. Later, a live remote as King Ferdinand broadcasts the news to Spain from his royal court.

Beautiful tunes, everybody. But when it comes to the 60's, in my opinion there is nothing like The Crystals: (High Volume, please!)

Bert Jansch died early last night after a long fight with cancer. I think I'll listen to his records for a while now, I got most of them
Herbert “Bert” Jansch (3 November 1943 – 5 October 2011) was a Scottish folk musician and founding member of the band Pentangle. He was born in Glasgow and came to prominence in London in the 1960s, as an acoustic guitarist, as well as a singer-songwriter. He recorded at least 25 albums and has toured extensively starting in the 1960s and continuing into the 21st century.
