George Gee & The Jump Jivin' Wailers - "Down South Camp Meeting." I really love his version of this, even more so than Benny Goodman's (Fletcher Henderson's is a very close second though). Wanted to find a link online to Gee's version to share, but wasn't successful.

I must say, I really enjoy this thread and have been introduced to much new music I wouldn't have otherwise discovered. :)

CBS Is There, "The Storming of the Bastille," from CBS Radio, July 14, 1947. John Daly mikeside, describing the citizens of Paris as they take over the combined prison and governor's palace, in order to get the muskets in the armory. The politics were complicated. Muddy sound, but extremely well-done.

I love Patsy Cline. The interesting thing about "Crazy" is that Patsy hated the song the first time she heard it. The song was written by Willie Nelson and helped jumpstart his career as a songwriter. In case you haven't noticed, I'm an encyclopedia of useless knowledge.

Right now I'm alternating between a "Kings of Swing" CD compilation set I picked up at Costco a few years ago - lots of Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Glenn Miller, etc.; and Loretta Lynn's greatest hits.
