Currently playing a bunch of my older sisters old 45's which I salvaged many years back, and I find a couple of E.P.'s of Pat Boone... I keep playing 'I'll Be Home'... I can't sing to save my life, but I can mumble and groan the lyrics.... yep, I like this a lot !!! I know it is unforgivable, but I also find myself quietly mouthing 'Sweet Nuthins' lyrics as well by Brenda Lee...... I have no excuses at all, sorry..

Also, from my personal collection, Al Bowlly again with 'The Old Man Of The Mountain'. To my knowledge - and much to my regret - Youtube does not seem to have a clip with the song so you have to take my word for it that it's a smashing recording. Al really had something special going with his voice. His overall singing style, his phrasing and expression made him stand out from most of the other singers of the time. It's for a reason that he is credited for having invented the crooning style that eventually became the standard through the 30's and 40's (prominently led by Bing Crosby). Way to go, Al! And to think that he was killed by a German parachute mine...
