What are all the different options / styles for a double breasted suit?

I will be getting a M2M double breasted jacket made and I need to know what all the options / sytle's are (all era's) so:

What are all the different options / styles for a double breasted suit?

If it has two rows of three buttons, your options are whether you want the bottom button to be functional or the middle one.

Most men look better with the middle button being the functional one. It flatters a man's figure more as well.

I have seen the bottom button being functional in more 1980s suits than in earlier ones, and in addition to this not being helpful to keep a man's stomach under control, this can allow the shirt to stick out so the man looks like he has a gut even if he does not.

A rarely seen and horrible thing is a DB with notch lapels instead of peak lapels. Hideous, and I don't think anyone here will defend it. I doubt you were planning on that, but just thought I'd say it anyway.
