That suit is gorgeous, and as far as his appearance, he seems to channeling the early 20th century european modernist painter look, like Marc was saying. He could be a Andre Breton or a Salvador Dali. I think he is doing it rather well.

The only thing wrong with the fit that I see is the length of the trousers, with a little more material he could make a French cuff (no pun intended). I think it would hide the crease in the trousers from the old cuffs, which right now are quite evident. No amount of steaming or pressing will get that out -- I've tried it before myself with little success.

Are these leather covered buttons? Very interesting.

Stylistically, and in terms of color and cut, this suit is very similar to one I found a few years ago.

Yeah but your suit looks as though it was NOS from the lack of fading on that lapel.

Thanks for posting a close up of those buttons, that was the thing that stuck out to me! Very cool, weird detail! The issue of the suit fitting him or not doesn't matter. We can oogle all the great aspects of the creation regardless. It's not like we can convince him to give it over

Do you think so? They kind of remind me of the leather covered buttons you often see on traditional tweed jackets, but it's hard to tell.

Light colored (in this case, blue) fabric paired with contrasting caramel buttons; a very tasteful combination - and one of the many reasons why 1930's fashion will always be my favorite! :eusa_clap
