lol wow I was WAY off!!! Although I wasn't as off as he was at first :p
No that’s the pic I gave him of my jacket to help illustrate how it’s done. I’m thinking his jacket is actually around 21”. I just wanted to see it so I could put it to bed!

I don’t understand how people who sell clothes can be this far lost on the most simple and basic measurement in all of clothing, across all manner of garment. I should have a hat that says “P2P COACH”

It can be slightly confusing if you're not familiar with the concept of chest width at all.
Like for instance, early on, I too wasn't sure whether I'm supposed to measure the distance between the side seams or across the entire thing, from the edges where the front folding into the back. This method seemed very error-prone to me as the back could've creased without me noticing it.

But then again, getting it right takes less than 1 minute of research so it is sort of inexcusable in this day and age.

Thanks guys. Lots of good, informed guesses. Unfortunately none of them put it where I want(23-24"ish), but I knew that would be the case.

I’ll say this, the LW suburban I just sent to Mendel was bang on 23.5” in a size 42” not to complicate matters of course ;)

Honestly, it would've been my initial guess but I know LW used to really precise in P2P back in the day and insisted their size numbers are true.
