I took piano lessons as a child (7, 8 years old?) and, briefly, guitar as an adolescent. Neither stuck, I'm sorry to say.

A two album archive of Alice Killian, from 1946. She has written a lot of information on the photos and in the margins. This is part of it, note I even have her name tag, wish I had a little more information, but this is how they came (two albums). Despite the name this was not a ranch for young children. Those were the days......(unfortunately she did not seem to include any pictures of herself save the big group photo).

She wrote some notes on the back of each album (including using shorthand, which I cannot read). She also wrote the words to the "Canoe Song". Fun Archive....

Thanks for the compliment Ross. It’s among my favs too & Im lucky to have it. I just got it unboxed a little late for the season, so these are old pics. I’ll get some new ones taken. I only need a model to wear it in the bordello bath tub.

Same with the Stetson Tommy Grimes. Maybe you & I should start a maximas fest.

Miller Fine Hats Denver Colo, 4X Quality. Has 3 3/4 inch bound brim and 5 7/8 inch open crown. I think it has a mfg tag I haven't seen in Miller hats before, but I need to check. Also think the felt feels different from 4X hats of the same era, or that's my first impression. By "same era" I mean the period when the sweatbands say "Leak-proof and Sweat-proof", which stretches from the late 30's into the 50's or so.

Miller Fine Hats, Denver Colo., 4X Quality. This hat is for sale on eBay. I show it because it has the mfg tag that is usually seen in Miller hats, when there's a tag at all. This hat has the Leak-proof and Sweat-proof on the sweatband.
