They have membership pins like 1 yr, 5 yr, 10 yr etc, event participation pins for trail rides, etc.Het pins sure were popular in their circle.
These 'American Royal' hats turn up for sale every now and then. With the exception of HJ's, the only ones I've seen have been 3X Stetson's ranging from the late 40's to late 60's such as the one I bought off Etsy. HJ's is also the only one I've seen that wasn't adorned with pins. Luckily, mine had only 6. I've seen sale hats adorned with as many as 80. A lot of these hats I've run across also had a sterling and enamel Saddle & Sirloin club pin attached and mine had two.Het pins sure were popular in their circle.

AWESOME noir photo, Terry, as well as another excellent rebuild. And, as always, your music selections leave me grinnin' and tapping my toes.Western Noir under a Resistol Stagecoach that I rebuilt a year or so ago.

A lot of character in that one, Mark. I've got a Dobbs 20 fedora that looks 'lived in' like that. It looks like a working man's hat from back in the day. I didn't change it. I left it as is.A recent vintage-clothing-stores meander yielded success in the form of a Resistol Arizona, in Pecan. Somewhere along its not-overly-gentle life, the pointed part of its Resistol hatband pin broke off, and the owner simply tucked the metal word Resistol behind the hatband. That immediately endeared it to me. It was also stretched by someone impatient at the process, but the price was right. I’m estimating this one as manufactured somewhere between the mid 80’s, and turn of the century, probably at the earlier end of that range. View attachment 656810 View attachment 656811
