That is my new favorite color.
It is a very rich looking fall color. For me to wear a brown darker than a natural or Dun color, I sort of have to plan it. Just don’t wear that much brown. That is my new favorite color.
Have you considered putting a curl on the brim? Not sure it is appropriate for the hat but it might help with the balance and structure. I’d be interested in seeing how the pros do it!Resistol Chute 5 in 7X fur felt:

WOW.....just......WOW!!
I posted this in the hat making thread but why not add it here too. I made it as a gift and I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. View attachment 473292 View attachment 473293 View attachment 473294 View attachment 473295 View attachment 473296 View attachment 473297

Thank you sirThat turned out nicely! Great job!
What a makeover. It really has a formidable look now.Third times a charm on this Bradford Western refurb. This is my third blocking on this hat on two different blocks. The first blocking was on my RA and the crown came out looking like a pyramid. I took it apart again and tried blocking it on a #52. Still didn't look right. The third time I went back to my RA and left it on the block for three days. This time it worked out. The hat started out as a too small size 7. It's now blocked up to a 7 1/4. I gave it a simple Cattleman crease and recurled the 3 1/2 brim. I replaced the original 6 ply ribbon with a single ply thin ribbon, which I like better for this hat. I have other plans for the 6 ply ribbon.
