Western, anyone?

Wore this 1940's Carlsbad out this morning. Still looking for a vintage horsehair hatband to drop down over the ribbon.

I believe that just might be a dream hat!
At the deal you got it....it’s a fantasy hat come true!!
Whew whoo!! Go wifey!!

Thanks Bowen! A fantasy hat would have fit me.

That is beautiful! The kind of find we dream about. Maybe you should buy a lotto ticket!

Thanks Ed! Might have already used up my luck...

Need more brim for a dream.
It kind of rhymes...

It might rhyme with a Portuguese accent. :D I agree it needs more brim, but then it wouldn't fit in the box.

20s/30s Stetson No.1 Quality Western. 3 1/2 inch brim. 5 1/2 inch open crown. The headshot features me sporting it after a couple light coats of Kahl Hat Stiffener. Thanks to splintercells (Justin) for making this rare vintage piece available.

Here is an early-mid 70's Bradford (at this point Resistol). Quite the sweep to the brim sides......nice silverbelly......brim is quite stiff.....crown much softer. Dimensions are: 5 1/2 inch open crown (front 5" as bashed), 4 inch brim, nice 6 cord ribbon. I love the liner......No wear at all! Nothing, absolutly pristine. Not sure what I will do with this one........probably at least flatten out the brim......not sure about the crease, it is not exactly a "cattleman", I really like the shaped center crease and deeper side pinches. Time will tell.

Ok Gents...what’s the minimum brim width to get in this here club. I don’t wanna get thrown out on my *** first post. Any other protocols or etiquette tips to keep a guy in line?? I know...no a** err blowin kisses!!

Western is more of a hat body/model than brim length. Dress hat bodies are a lot softer than Western, which have a lot more shellac & very rigid brims. JMHO
