Thank you!!
Very nice JG Stagecoach. He does nice work! I really like the crown.
JG didn't changed the crown. He said he could make it look more "professional". For me it looked more "mechanical" so I told him not to change it.
I have a Stagecoach pin to put in it but I don't know... I think I'll put it in the other brown Stagecoach.

I think you are right about this, Joao. The sharp, very flat-topped & tight creased telescope looks better on a blues hat or low-crowned "Bonanza" style dress western than a standard western. I'm gonna try hand-shaping a flat topped western w/o the telescope crease sometime soon - that might be cool, Van Peebles wore one in a movie, didn't he?

Looks like a telescope - had to look at hundreds of photos - this is actually Clint, isn't it?

Harv, Joao, nice hats guys. John G. did a real nice job on the Stagacoach. Yup. That's Cint. "For A Few Dollars More" or a "Fistful of Dollars", from one of those movies. Looks like he wore the same outfit in both. "The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" was the best he did under the direction of Sergio Leone. Pretty neat hat he wore in that one too. I liked the hat he wore in "Josey Wales" though...

I think the flat top might have been from Pale Rider. Henry Fonda's hat from 'Once Upon a Time in the West' might also be a candidate, also Clint Eastwood's hat in 'Hang 'em High'.

Buckaroo Hatters will also make replicas or variants of any of these, or VS, or . . . . I think any custom hatter can make whatever variation we can accurately articulate. :)

I just want to say that Joao will call the posse out on me because I had a big western cut down to fedora size a few years ago. I had a 3X Stetson No 1 Quality from the 50s with a 3-1/2 inch brim and I turned it into an Open Road-styled fedora. Yes, I did this even though I am the one saying altering a vintage hat is a bad idea... but it WAS a 50s Stetson western and those are a dime a dozen.

So, just to clear the air.
;)
