Another CAS hat, this one's an American 7X beaver Lucky 7. I found this in a store in Livermore, CA, about 8 years ago. In a row of completely flat-brimmed Americans, it was the only one with just the slightest dip, and I immediately fell in love with it.

Miller Fine Hats, Denver. 4X Quality. 3 inch brim and 5 1/2 inch open crown. There's no mfg tags. It's guessed that these date to the 40's or 50's. Notice the 5 stars attached to hat. This is the second Miller hat from this era that I've bought that has these same 5 stars. Coincidence? I took the stars off of the other hat before posting it on the Lounge, thinking that the stars were a one-time anomaly.

Time for another CAS hat. This is one from Nate Funmaker, when he was operating as Bounty Hunter Hats in Colorado. It's marked on the band as a "western slope" shape, in 100% rabbit, and was made in December of 1996. It came to me in PHENOMENAL shape for an almost 28-year-old hat.

I humbly submit my recent acquisition. FEPSA dress-weight felt done up with a contrasting two-ply band and two-row brim stitching.

Sort of a western-fedora, I guess. Started out with a cattleman crease, but ended up with a diamond. The felt is surprisingly easy to shape for a modern hat. And it holds the shape you give it real well without steam.

I have since tightend the front pinch a bit.

I like thin ribbons and cattlemen creases. I just bashed my blue Agnoulita and wished it had a thinner ribbon. I've a Hufvud coming and I suppose it resembles an Open Road, but I would prefer a thinner ribbon on that as well, to be honest.. ....Anyway, I like your current asthetic.

Thanks for the feedback, it certainly allays my concerns.

And nice lids! I especially like the blue Agnoulita. Personally, I like the wider ribbon on yours.

Now I'm tempted to return my hat to a cattleman crease.
