Post-WWII Borsalino sold in the Motor City. More western than dress western.
Nice jobResistol Stagecoach that I reshaped and added a kettle curl. The original sweatband was in great shape so I didn't block the crown, just reshaped it. I used vintage cotton/rayon ribbon and went with a simple bow since it was my first real attempt at making a bow.

Great selection for a special day BB.Decided on a favorite No. 1 that I knew to be near my own vintage as it has a 1958 price tag...
Great post Greg.A sports talk radio show I often listen to has an occasional segment where they get away from sports and one I was listening to a week or so ago is called “Shower Thoughts”. One of the thoughts on this day was ‘No one looks average in a cowboy hat. You can either pull it off or not’. Their thought, not mine. I’ve been wearing cowboy hats since I was about 18 and I don’t think I’ve ever had the thought but as i made my 65TH lap around the sun today, it was one of many thoughts that crossed my mind, including what hat to wear. Decided on a favorite No. 1 that I knew to be near my own vintage as it has a 1958 price tag of $13.98 behind the sweat. It’s two years younger but close enough for SSI.

Not entirely sure, Jack, good eye though!
Probably just stuff in the background behind Ross, compressed in the reflection. I think they call that pareidolia, when your brain makes you see things out of nothing.Could be a bust they were cleaning or moving and had set it down on a chair or something?
Oh like when you see things in the clouds…. But clearly it is Alfalfa at the dentistProbably just stuff in the background behind Ross, compressed in the reflection. I think they call that pareidolia, when your brain makes you see things out of nothing.
