Here is a before, and after, of my Thoroughbred Grizzly. This hat has a 6 1/2" open crown and 4" brim. The brim curl brought the brim to 3 1/2". I will post more on the Thoroughbred thread.

I had a couple bricks growing up, at different times. One was a straw & probably just an Atwood. I was just a kid. If I recall correctly I think Paul Newman wore one in a movie in the late 1950's?

Ok i need some help. My daughter who finished her Residency in Psyc at Baylor, now Attending Staff, is coming in from Houston for a wedding. I’m having a hat identity moment thats been going on forever. I want to go western ala Houston. So what do you think??
Clear Nutria Boss with a 30 second kinda cattleman or the black No.1 Kettle curl with kicks??

Depending on your suit or whatever you will be wearing I would go with the Boss Raw Edge.

That's a hard choice, you can't go wrong either way. My opinion is, if the event is outside, during the day, or somewhat less formal, that Nutria is stunning. If at night, or more formal, I'd go with the black. Such a tough decision, bring both! I think Texans will appreciate either.[emoji16].

I'd still wear the Boss. Looks modern Western, informal with jeans & shirt. But leave the sandals & crocs at home!
