Ha, sorry. Yea I put a lot of steam on it and just roll it with my hands. Takes a little time but i works ok.
Thanks Cornshucker, I love a pencil roll but haven't done one by hand. I just may give it a try. I did a few with a shackle while working in a western store, over 40 years ago. Had mediocre results, yours looks much better.

Thanks. The Stagecoach is a good hat to roll. That felt is easy to work with.

Have a few questions about this stetson I want to purchase:
What’s a fair price to pay?
And how easy is it to uncurl a brim? Would I have to take it to a hat shop or would I be able to jiffy steam and iron it out?
I don’t mind a curl in the back but I would want to flatten it in the front.
Also curious if any of you have Stetson 5xs that are similar and how the felt is on them.
I have had a few newer 4xs and love the felt however the crowns tend to be soft on them.
Thanks
I wouldn't change it. Looks perfect. To uncurl I don't really know. Maybe some water, hand work and iron out?
Diference between a 4x and a 5x... it's like... none? The difference on the felt composition should be minimal...

Stagecoach hats are nice hats. That was reworked and looks great... does it still have the paper tag behind the sweat?
Why not post it on the Stagecoach thread?
Joao I was wrong, I was thinking of a different hat. There is a partial tag under the sweatband. A partial number ending in 12 and the style name is Redding. Color Silver Belly.

I think that looks great with the brim curl in it. If I had the hat I wouldn't take it out. You can still reshape the brim with the curl in it.
