Yes it was.

Our day here has been awful. Not because of post Christmas blues or anything, though. It was more physical for us. Myself, my husband, my 12 year old son and my 14 year old daughter all woke up with high fevers this morning. We've been in bed all day. My daughter maintains her position of "high fever champ" in the family, coming in at 104.7 this afternoon. She's doing better now. She's always been like that so we know what to do. I don't know who we got this from, but it was one heck of a contagious bug! I can't think of one person all 4 of us have even been very near in the last week or so. Well, I'm going back to bed. I guess in a way, though, the day was a downer. It always is when you're sick. You all take care, get rest and stay healthy. Trix

I stand corrected.

About 10 minutes after my last post, I went in to check on my daughter and to tell her about today being noted "THE" downer day of the year. She was taking her temperature while I talked. She took the thermometer out of her mouth, looked at it and said "Well now I'm at a 104 " . I'm thinking "Oh, great", but then she said "And my day wasn't a downer because I didn't have to do any schoolwork and I found out Chad likes me!" So I guess it's all in how you look at things. I hope everyone else had good days today. Take care. Trix :)

Hmm? Monday for me was quite unremarkable and ordinary. A day like any other.

Yesterday was terrific! My favorite suit finally got sent to Lewiston, dry cleaned, although a few spots look like they are there for good. My Goethe paper that I was so worried about on Friday was one of three examples in a class of 40 (and a number of upperclassman). I also got some chocolates and listened to some happy tunes, went dancing, and forgot all of the social worries I had over the weekend. And even figured out a possible solution to one of them.

But I have a Russian test tommarrow.

I had a great day.....unfortunately, none of my equipment here at work agreed with me, and it's put me so far behind, I'll have to work late 3 nights just to get caught up.

I was dignosted with a sinus infection, and that just is a downer any day since you have to take so much medicine to stay active and healthy and get over it. But, we had a kinda slacking day in all of my classes which was cool. Oh and Zach, Congrads.

as far as general malaise for a certain day

Tom Lehrer said it best, "Life is like a sewer; what you get out of it depends on what you put into it."

Interseting, choice of a philociphy, a bit on the negivtive side if you consider your life a sewer. It gives a whole new meaning and significance to "going down the tubes" ;)

My Monday was fine, but a couple of my friends had rotten days. I spent a lot of time helping them sort things out.

Glad to hear there were some good days our there. Congrats to those who got the new jobs/offers and to Zach on Carolina. Mycroft, sorry to hear your sick, too. Hope you feel better, soon.

Thanks for concern, I think it is the quick changing tempatures down here and something I picked up in Africa.

Trix, I hope you're family is starting to feel better. A lady at work's daughter had a 104 temp and turns out the girl has pneumonia. Hope y'all escaped the pneumonia bug.
