Hello,

Can't help with that but just checking - are you aware that G&B jackets are a size or two too large? For example, my 42 has a 24 inch pit to pit so for me a 38 with a 22 inch pit to pit is a better fit and closer to a conventional 42.

Seb, some of us appreciate that G&Bs are cut large.

For an Indy jacket, you should also consider Wested. Even their custom versions - personalized sizing, choice of hide and detailing - are currently under $300 new. They may not be quite as mil-spec tough as the G&Bs, but they are solid jackets, and an outstanding value in their price range. I love and wear my (2003) $220 Wested Raiders jacket just as much as my (2012) $950 Good Wear Dubow A-2.

I greatly appreciate the information. I've owned a couple of G&B Expedition jackets over the years, and either sold or traded them which I now regret. Anyway, I'm very familiar with them, but I still appreciate your time and help. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the information. I'm fairly familiar with the Westeds, I don't know how many I've had over the years, but several. I've either out grown, sold them, traded them, or given them to family members. Anyway, I've bought some second hand, a few off the rack standard models, and even a couple of custom orders. But, after buying a Nowak CS, and having owned a couple of G&B jackets over the years, which I now wish that I hadn't sold, I really want another G&B. Having said all of that, I would consider a Wested in a size 48 long if anyone has one for sale. My reason for wanting a size 50, is to wear over my Duluth trading company cardigan. The MOB look. Thank you for replying to my post, I really appreciate it. Again, I would also be interested in a Wested 48.

Seb what you say regarding G&B sizing is absolutely true. My G&B goatskin labeled size 44T has a pt-to-pit of at least 25" and is at least one size too big for me. As a result, it rarely gets worn and looks essentially the same as when I bought it several years ago.

That's what I'm looking for. Do you want to sell it?

Thanks.

I've got a an early FlightSuits (pre-G&B) in brown horsehide that fits like a tight 48 that I'll be looking to get rid of shortly. Like you, I'm looking for a later 'fuller' cut G&B sz50 or a signature USW in Goat.

Edit: I was thinking of my older USW XXL indy / adventurer in goat. The flightsuits' HH indy is a 48R and roomy but short since I wear a 50R (modern fit). Just didn't want to confuse your sizing research. (Old USW is a tighter fit than their modern signature line. Flightsuits and G&B sound like to have consistent fit through the name change)

Another Edit: Just finished making the for-sale thread for my HH 48R G&B/Flightsuits indy in classifieds. It's in horsehide so it's not quite what you're looking for but thought I would let you know.
