Hello:
I'm looking for a Aero Cafe or Board racer in 42 or 44, in black.
I'm 6'0, 190lbs and wear a 42 coat size, but have been instructed that an Aero may be too tight… please let me know and thank you!

You could contact Aero and send them your measurements and tell them your wishes and they will advise, but from my experience yes, my Aero Cafe Racer is very slim. I'm usually 44" and in some cases it's pretty loose but it's ok since it allows layering, but my 44" Aero Cafe Racer is extremely slim allowing only a t-shirt under, although my Long Half Belt of the same size gives a lot of room for up to three things under.

I'm 5'10", 170, and the stock Aero Cafe Racer in 42 is a pretty tight fit. I haven't tried on a 44, but imagine that it would be roomier, enough for a bit more range of motion. A 42 on me is quite form fitting, I can do with a t-shirt or dress shirt, but couldn't layer.

I've been hearing that a lot... Looks like a 44. I do prefer the slim fit but 42 may be a bit too slim!

I'd prefer to purchase a preowned version of possible.

Thx again to all.

Hi, I usually wear a stock size 42 in an off the rack business suit.
If you were to go on my actual chest measurements however, there's not a manufacturer who would reccomend anything other than a 44 for me.
Having said that, I have 2 Aero cafe racers (actually, they're Sheene's), and they're both in 42 & I love the fit.
I do like a fitted jacket & the cafe racer is a fitted style. You can't compare to a half belt or other 50's based design.
If you're after second hand to save a few pennies, know what measurements will work for you and base your decision on these rather than a size tag on a jacket. A 42 is not necessarily a 42......
