JUST received a pair of original officer's pinks (wool pants) through the post and am REALLY excited about them (they belonged to an AAF colonel). But sadly, one of the back pockets is missing a button.
It's probably too much to expect matching another button to this original old one.
So, thinking laterally...probably more chance if I can somehow get two small vintage buttons to stitch on to both back pockets.
I've attached two photos (one with a tea spoon, just to give an indication of scale). The button is 1cm across. It is a dark khaki colour with two holes for the stitching (think you can see that in the pics).
Any kind person out there in this global brother/sister-hood of ours who might have two matching vintage buttons that would do the job on these 60+year-old pinks?
Many thanks for reading this, as I know it's not the most exciting of posts!!
Thanks in anticipation...
