WANT TO BUY -- CONMAR vintage zipper for MC jacket

I just received some bad news from my seamstress. Anyways, unless I can find an exact CONMAR zipper to the one I have now on a vintage HORSEHIDE MC jacket, she will have to replace the entire zipper with another vintage zipper I have (SCOVILL). The good news if the fact that I ONLY need the female side of the zipper itself since that is the side that is ripping away from the jacket. The male side, both box and slider, works perfectly.

So I am looking for either an entire CONMAR zipper with all components OR just the female side end!! Anyone with a spare or know of a place to locate one, could you please let me know. I have funds readily available and this jacket is kind of sentimental to me, hence trying to keep everything original.

I tried to contact IDEAL zippers who now own CONMAR, but unfortunately they told me that they NO LONGER produce this type.

interesting concept of male and female.

The male has the prong, the female the receiving orifice.

Since it's just the male side you need, i don't think you need to focus on a Conmar, just get one that's the right size.


I have a zip that i will never use that you can have. It looks to be about the right size. Only problem is the tapes are dark green, not black. Are the tapes very visible on your jacket?
