Hey Fedora Lounge, I'm gonna be compiling an outfit over the next year so I can grow more into it [nineteen year old late bloomer]. And I was wondering, how do these sound?

My first one is kinda simple and I already have this one, it consist of:
> Black "Goodfellas" fedora [black band]
> Optional red-lens Victorian spectacles
> Black pinstripe [white striped] vest
> White dress shirt
> Black necktie
> Black leather gloves [with three stitches on the back of hand]
> Black belt
> Plain black pinch front slacks
> Black socks
> Nunn Bush black cuban heel boots

Also have pictures of this one:

But most of all, I want an opinion on this outfit I have to compile the rest of... Well, it's just a suit is all I need [but I wanna grow first].

> Black "Goodfellas" fedora [black band]
> Optional red-lens Victorian spectacles
> Black double-breasted pinstripe suit w/ White Stripes [Click to view!]
> Black trenchcoat [kept open to show off the suit]
> White dress shirt
> Black necktie
> Black leather gloves [with three stitches on the back of hand]
> Black belt
> Black socks
> Nunn Bush black cuban heel boots

Aye, I smoke cigars too. Don't drink yet, obviously. I'm about 6'0", olive complexion and greenish eyes. I'm pretty skinny [but working out to gain weight. But any opinions on what I'd look like and what decade this look would be from? Much appreciated!

P.S.: I'm trying to grow my beard out as well.

Good fellas

You remind me of a second cousin of mine. Anyway, if you want to bulk up and build muscle, don't be scared to put on fat. If you want to build your legs, you'll need to put on a bit of a gut. Push ups, and squats, are the fastest builders. Jump rope is good too.

Best thing is bannas blended with milk, and raw eggs n' sugar. If you eat half a loaf of buttered bread a day, this will help. If your worried about your heart, drink a couple table spoons of olive oil each day, or use it in a salad dressing. You need red meat too.

As for the beard, don't shave it, clip it with hair clippers, 1/2 inch. It will thicken up faster.

As for the get up, looks like your having fun. Go to a good bakery, and pick up a deck of cards.

P.s. make sure you save some money for a heavy bag.

Yep, as well as some of the fat that comes with it. Proteins and exercise, Joseph. And don't skip meals.

In addition, if you go to www.artofmanliness.com, you'll find a series of simple exercises for men by Charles Atlas, years ago, that are effective in turning all that beef you should be eating into muscle. Once you turn legal drinking age, should you decide to imbibe, that'll put some bulk on ya as well.

As to the wardrobe, I try to avoid overdoing the black, but I'm a 50+ O.F. and it tends to wash us out. You'd also probably find charcoal more versatile.

I do like charcoal. :]

Reason I'm asking for opinions, my hair's black and everything, and I'm curious on what others might think of it.

I thing you look a bit like the singer lee press-on http://www.leepresson.com/

A horror-noir-gangster-swing-punk-entertainer-look. Maybe because of this victorian glasses, the gloves and the lot of black in your warddrobe.
You hust need to shave a pencil moustache then.

I would be careful about buying your first suit online. YOu can't try them on and also don't feel the fabric. Wool blend isn't as bad as pure poly but there are still differences.

Did you check out your local thrift stores? You could find cheaper suits of better quality there.

Not a fan of the pencil moustache, way too thin for me and wouldn't look quite right on my face.

Yeah, I'm gonna be careful. :] No worries there, and I'm gonna try some suits at a thrift store.
