Monbla, if you read this again, I think what Lefty and Buler are trying to say is that "to tidy the Lounge and make it easier to browse, the information you posted on this thread could easily have been posted in the Overload thread. There's no need to start a new one." It's no problem, and I see where they are coming from. Don't worry about it, though. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have seen Lefty get unnecessarily snarky towards a new member. Don't be bothered, just ignore it.
At any rate, if a Bartender comes along and happens to see this thread, I wonder if there's a way to move everything discussed here into the Akubra Overload thread.

If Lefty's concerned about tidying the Lounge, maybe he could just start one thread to put all of his unnecessary snarky remarks in. Then we could just open the one thread to read them all.

Oh, and good catch on this thread. I'm quite interested in the hats shown on the show myself. It's like seeing hats that I'm considering to purchase, but their future selves lol. Kinda like a preview of what I can expect to get out of my Akubra .

That's probably the mature reaction. I see the Akubra line as a great starting point for new members due to their price, sizing, selection. It's a shame to see folks discouraged or chased away.

I agree. Their piping in was pretty pointless. They've expressed their disdain for Akubra in other threads, so why pop in on what is obviously another thread about said hats. [huh]

I gathered that much from the fact that my mother knew something about it... or at least that it was very much aimed at the female viewership. Though, they're not unpleasant to look at... it'd be one of those "oh I'm just looking at the hats" if it were ever on and I spent more than a minute or two in front of the television.
