There are very few people who I wouldn't like to meet here, but I would need some sort of event, like the Governor's Island vintage thing, which I would enjoy no matter what, as the venue. That way, even if y'all didn't turn out as cool as you seem online (it happens) I would still be somewhere I could have a good time.

Actually, I'd love to meet all of the people I have 'arguments" with in various posts. Talking to people in person makes it more personable plus you concentrate on what we share versus where we differ. Like I listed above go to the events section and also check out the steamer trunk section to see pictures and videos of some of the various get-togethers and you see very few pictures of animosity or anyone getting hauled off in handcuffs.

I am finally posting some videos of the Fedora Lounge Queen Mary Event on You-tube (8th Annual) and it is always a great time.

I'm afraid I'm with you on this one. I was always a bit skeptical but then I thought I'd give it a go and arrange to meet someone. Turns out the someone wasn't quite the guy he portrayed himself to be, :rage: now I'm REALLY skeptical! It would take a lot for me to meet someone if was outside my local area....
Hi

One of my co-workers is addicted to watching "to catch a predator", between that and several old cartoons I tend to expect the unexpected when meeting someone that I only know online, or from work emails. Look at the bright side, at least the guy told you he was a guy...

Oh, come on now! For the amount that you and I talk, you know I'd love to meet you!

Awww, and there I was thinking you hadn't noticed me...

Scotty, I'd sure like to meet you, too! I imagine Lizzie would be a hoot, too and Dinerman.
Five is tough. In no particular order:

LizzieMaine
scotrace
RBH
AtomicEraTom
John in Covina
Neophyte
rue

There are others, but Im over the limit.

I know, I know, but it made me feel like a dink. Don't wanna be seen as inconsiderate, just a bit oafish.
Awwww.... I'm sorry Tom... I was really just teasing you. You should know that by now :p We had already agreed to meet if we were ever in the same town anyway, remember? ;)

Worrying is what I do best. My dad says I've been more stressed than him since I was 8 years old lol Everyone's surprised I'm not graying by now. I have more money than all my friends and never stop worrying about money, working, etc, etc.

Romy (Let's see to it !)
Flat Foot Floey
Mario

I can actually go on, and on, and on. But I already crossed the limit by far.

In no order:

Aureliano, one of my best friends on the Lounge
HarpPlayerGene, another of my good friends
Sproily, for his accomplished sartorial prowess
Mario, for his awesome hats and sense of style
Lefty, to see all of his hats (and see how sarcastic is really is in person ;))
Alanfgag, with one of the most rapidly expanding collections of fine hats I've seen in a while
Dinerman and ScottF for their extensive collections, and knowledge about hats
Brad Bowers and rlk, whose insight and knowledge I greatly respect
Art Fawcett, to apologize for all the grief I cause him ("You want me to do WHAT!?!?")

And so many more that would take months to list. I think I'm already past five.

So far I have only met one Lounger - the lovely Darhling! She came to Dublin for a quick visit with her delightful friend - we had a fantastic evening and got in some of Dublin's best pubs!

There are so many more Loungers I would love, love, love to meet - I won't name names as I'm sure to leave someone out (some vino/cocktails are on board watching the last episode of Mad Men Season 4 *sniff!*) but I would be so happy if I could.....

Wait.... was there a limit? ;)

Rue,

That's a nice compliment, thank you.

If there's a limit, I wouldn't want to offend anyone by not including them. So on my list, would be everyone who's replied to my posts, anyone who has pm'd me, and anyone who I've replied to. I'm sure we'd all get on fine, sharing a few beers together!

Cheers, :cheers1:

Danny O

p.s. James, that includes you........and the single malt!

Yes, The Festival, on the 16th! A group of us go every year.

You have definitely got to go to the Revival, you will love it!

:)

Well next year you'll have to give me a shout :) Where did you go out for drinks?

I'm excited about going but I'm a bit nervous because I'll be on my own :(

We stayed in the bars on the course........well, it'd be rude to walk away from the Guinness! And then stopped off in the pub opposite the railway station, don't ask me what the name of it was......!

Don't be nervous, you'll be fine, it's a great event! Have you got your tickets sorted yet, what day are you going on?
