Visiting Paris: Where should I stay?

I haven't been since I was a kid. I will be there for just a couple of days. Where is a reasonably priced hotel with style and charm....and conveniently located? Thanks!

Have stayed here, very small hotel with helpful staff right outside the Louvre. It was and is reasonably priced and a pretty good location depending on your priorities in Paris.

Edit: One of the things I did on one of my trips to Paris, which I was originally not going to do, was take a dinner cruise. When we checked into this hotel, we asked the woman at the desk about it, saying we figured it was a bit touristy. She laughed that off and said her parents (Parisians) do it all the time. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the amount of fun, and the stunning views of Paris at night. Worth the $ in my opinion.
