Got a Pendelton, like new, jac shirt that's on the stiff side. Got a woolmark emblem so it's safe to hand wash. I have Dreft but not for delicates and wool. Woolite isn't on Woolmarks list and I read baby shampoo can be used. I also read Eucalan has lanolin in it that doesn't have to be rinsed.

Just using precaution before washing this like new item. Thoughts ?

Just don’t toss it in the dryer. It’s less about detergent and more about how you handle wool.

I usually hand wash my wool clothes without stretching it, roll the clothes inside a towel to get excess water out, and line dry on a different towel for several days. You can switch out the towel periodically, no drying in the sun.

No dryer ! No way!

And yes l put out towels and press out excess water. Then set out flat on a mesh net rack to dry.

Eucalan is a no rinse and has lanolin. Does even detergent that’s for delicates and wool doesn’t strip natural oils from wool ? I don’t plan on washing after a one time getting odors from previous owners.
