There's a lot here on modern work boots, but not much on the originals.
I'll start this one off with period advertisements. Please share your 1920s-1960s work boots. I'd love to see how the details compare with the modern ones.

It is interesting that many of the boots stress "chrome tanned" in the advertisements. How times change, eh?

You know those are work boots when their advertised as "manure proof".
What's up the cowboy and packer boots, priced over 2 to 3X as much as the others.

Thanks Dinerman

I think it's amazing how much has changed in 90 years. Just as with any vintage shoe, put an original pair next to a modern one, and the detailing, construction, fit, cut, lasts, leathers, are remarkably different.
