Vintage Wedding Dress for Sale

I am selling my 1940s wedding dress on eBay, as I've decided to go with my handmade on instead. I love this one to bits, but unfortunately I can only have one wedding!

What a beautiful gown!

I think I know why it's so unusual for the time: I suspect it's an elaborate petticoat, meant to go under a ball gown. Some of the petticoats from this era are certainly beautiful enough to be worn as gowns as their own right, and they have the same quality and workmanship of the frocks too.
