Schuco Akustico 2002
A simplified version of the Examico 4001 with the addition of a working clockwork horn. This example also comes with "Fritz," the driver figure. This is a modern reproduction made by Schuco of the original which was produced from the 1930s to the 1950s.

Seems like about once a week either the dogs dig up, or rain washing up an old Matchbox or Hot Wheels car out in the yard. Memories from the past. Each time I find one I text both our sons of the find. Sunday it was a red Hot Wheels Corvette. They usually remember them quit well. These toys have been missing for over 25 years now!!! Some close to 30!

I have a few items that may be of interest to some. One is a double barrel Daisy BB gun from the forties. Two is an original complete #8 1/2 Erector Set from the forties. This set had the parts to build the Ferris Wheel powered by the genuine reversible electric motor included in the metal box. I also have the original WHAMO wooden slingshot that was the most powerful when I was a kid. Probably the rarest and old toys I still have is a 1946 all aluminum P51 Mustang made in Glendale California. These planes actually flew with a gas engine although not very well and you controlled them with 2 lines that came out of the wing. They were referred to as control line model airplanes but an aluminum one was always rare and expensive in its day. I like old cars and motorcycles as well. i have an old 1938 Buick 4 door sedan that still has its original motor and paint etc. I drove it to breakfast this morning. This is my first post and I don't know how to add pictures.

I ran across this site while looking for info on an old car last week. Its an amazing, interesting site. It seems to have many subjects that I like even if I don't know much about them. The double barrel was made in the early forties with a wooden stock and the bought out again in the fifties or maybe sixties again with a plastic stock. It never sold well as it cost to much back in the forties so is very rare. I never saw one in the real when I was a kid but did hear of a kid that had one.
