Those early 70s Japanese bikes really nailed the classic Brit bike look. Probably what killed the British bike industry as much as anything, but still very cool, very reliable, and I gather still a pretty affordable way of getting a bike on the road. My Dad for a whiled some years ago had a Honda CB360 - a very rare birdy indeed in the UK. They were sold on the US market, but here they fitted the equivalent with a smaller engine (350cc being the point at which there's a jump to a new insurance group in the UK, and nobody would pay the extra for the sake of 10cc more). Dad's bike was imported to the UK by a US military guy originally and, as so often happened, sold on when he went back to the US. Road going version, though. There's something very cool about those raised exhaust, Street Scrambler types. A lot of custom bikes are being built based on these now - at some point, the originals are going to get rare!

Nice jacket. Lovely Honda, too - what's the model?
Thanks All! The bike is a 1972 Honda Scrambler CL350. Kind of the first versions of "Dual Sport" bike marketed for both off-road and street driving back in the day. (But in reality it wasn't much of an off-road bike.)
With its larger front tire, cross bar steering, and distinctive upswept chrome tail pipes, it's a little more sportier and rarer than the popular CB350s.
I just got it...and loving it! It's the perfect size for running around the city, dependable, fun... and ideal for navigating all the pot holes, construction, non-existent parking, and traffic.

I was putting some plates on my new city Moto runabout, and my daughter snapped this photo of me wearing the recent horsehide Taubers purchase...thought it looked passable enough to post, for those who requested a fit pic.

I'm with Guppy on this! I thought it's a super cool CR when you initially posted photos of it, now I can hardly believe it's the same jacket, how cool it looks on you. I actually scrolled back and forth to make sure. Wildly cool!
