I was driving down the road on August 20th and I noticed there was a guy selling things on his front lawn. Strange to see that on a Thursday, but whatever...
This old General Electric oscillating fan screamed out to me from the lawn.
I pulled over and asked him how much he wanted for it. He replied "I was going to sell it for $10, but you can have it for $5."
The dirty old fan then hopped in my car and I took it home.
From what I can determine online, this GE model 49X929 was built 1938-41. Can also be mounted to the wall if preferred.
Cool!
I'm going to run and give it a good cleaning now.... anybody else have an old fan they'd like to share here?
