Vintage is probably 50s.

My head might be that size (plus a little), but it would need to be examined if I spent that much on a hat.

The hat measures 8 1/8x 6 1/2"
I don't have a sizer to measure circumference.
But I can say that I wear a 3/8 long oval and it's pretty right on the money.

Thanks J, I keep thinking that I can wear Stetsons but I have now learned my bean head is too small for them, so I ll just stick to my Borsalinos as they suit me better.
But yes this was an excellent hat non the less, absolutely beautiful in all ways.
