Vintage shopping in Chicago?

Well, no luck this weekend. Night & Day is a real nice place. I walk in and was immediately greeted and offered a cup of tea. In talking with the owner, it turns out she is friends with friends of mine. But, no purchases were made. I looked at shoes, leather jackets, shirts, Hollywood-style & other gab jackets, & suits. The biggest problem I had was size. Most items that caught my eye were too small. The one gab jacket that fit me well had two noticeable snags on the front. The other problem was era...most suits & shirts looked a bit too modern for my tastes, mostly late '50s. Prices did look quite fair...I will certainly check back again soon.

Well said, Jerome. I just don't have as much time to get down to Chicago as I used to...kids & all. You know. I feel like I used to know everyone down there. Now it feels like I am starting over.

I forgot I said this two years ago. I haven't been back since, although I was in Chicago yesterday & will be down there a couple times a month for the forseeable future.
