The heel in this post is very interesting. I do enjoy seeing the unique heel designs and branding. My experience with shoes of pre-50's is that the rubber heels crumble when I am gently wearing them. I was out with a pair of vintage shoes one evening and haf a heel just disintergrate on me. Very awkward evening when walking or standing. I did not bring a backup pair of shoes. Routinely when picking up vintage shoes I get some pics of the original heels and them off the go to my fav cobbler to have the heels replaced.

Here is a pair of 50's heels that were on a pair of McHale Cordovan gunboats.
These are the original heels (1930's spectators) the that disintegrated.
