I gave my son your year made jacket in black. The leather back then I feel is heaver than my 2011. Great Find. Funny how these jackets are still out here not sold.
I agree, this 93 is the same weight and feel as my 2005 141. I will state it again, the Schott naked cowhide is my favorite. I had a US made Reed sportswear that was built with naked cowhide, same beautiful leather.

I’m a Schott Jacket Fan. But my 2003 Vanson AR Competition Leather is Much Heaver.
No argument from me. I have an early 2000’s comp weight Vanson Model J that is a workout just to wear it. So heavy and beautiful.

I stumbled onto this topic on a search for something unrelated, but since the question is still pending, here goes: the tyvek label and size tab with red lettering say the op's jacket was made before 1975. From 1975 to 1980 they moved to the white cotton label that's usually faded or torn/missing, and in 1980 they introduced the more durable synthetic label and "schott"-embossed snaps.
